Well, I have to say that I am very excited for the new year. But I'm sure all of you probably could have guessed as much. There have been far more important developments in my life that most of you are probably aware of.
At this point in time, I have a niece who is only a few years old. Her name is Chelsea and she's a very sweet little girl. She also is very amused by the little things around her. I'm also expecting a child in this upcoming year. I know that sounds like a bad thing to some of you because then you will have to split your attention between me and someone else equally as adorable as I am, but don't worry, you and I will manage it together.
Finally, I am feeling on top of things for once. Everything I need to keep tabs on is all under control and for once I can relax for a little while. I do have things to concern myself with, but nothing that is completely out of control. It is a very good feeling to be stress-free, so to speak.
I think a celebration is in order. |

November! I have always been a fan of fall weather, mostly because it's crisp, yet sunny. It's perfect Quidditch weather, to be honest, and I'm always in the mood for Quidditch. Anyway, last month was a fairly busy month, yet it was very succesful for me. I accomplished a lot. Except for the fact that a lot of my friends and family have been missing in action. That can be quickly resolved, apparently, they just need to see my face to come out of hiding. How could I be so selfish as to deprive them of this?
Well. To November! The rest of this month should be fun. |

My coach has been really grouchy as of late. It of course has to do with the fact that Weasley is missing. Not to mention we've had to break in our new reserve Chaser, who is a rather awkward and fumbling fellow. I wonder how he even got involved - he's hardly Falcon material - but ever since we've put him into practice, he's been handling himself fairly well. But he's somewhat of a social misfit; he always thinks we should be doing more team stuff after practice. As much as I am into the team, I think five hours a day and more since he's a Chaser is enough time during the day. I do have other things to attend to.

I need a break. Katie, I say we go on a date. Since we haven't been on a formal one yet. Sans alcohol. |

I don't appreciate these missing people. I mean, I'm only lightly tied to one of them considering she's my teammate. So I don't have much of a personal connection. But a scam, really? Someone's out there forging letters and kidnapping people, I'll bet. Also, I heard Nikolai is missing of a different accord. We'll have to start doing the buddy system or something around here.
Apparently I have a wife and child. No, seriously? I got an owl earlier today stating that my child was going to be returned to be because their parents were killed and that I was to alert my wife. Major mindfuck! Much to my surprise, about an hour ago, they dropped off a three-year-old at my flat. Marcus, happy birthday!
No, seriously. I really do ask this seriously. What am I going to do with a three-year-old child who has been mandated to stay with me through the weekend?

This month has been sucking lately. I don't know why, but news has been fluttering about everything going on. The weather has been crummy, people have been dying - apparently, and it's too long to have to wait till my birthday. But the other stuff is important too, of course. |

Whoever doubted that we'd win was obviously on the wrong side of things. I do have to congratulate my team on a job well done, though! And there were no heavy casualties at that! I think that is cause for a celebration. Calling you all Team Awesome was only a predestinated sort of thing.
As for the opposing team, not a bad job. It was a good fight, but you can't win 'em all! As for you, Spinnet, it's karma for having been a bitch that one time.
Katie! Hi.
Zee, what are you getting Mum for her birthday? I'm horrible with these things. |

Spinnet, be prepared for your losses. I'll try not to rub it in on any less of a schedule than a daily basis. |

I have to say that the presence of certain people, or lack therefore, is quite pleasant. Life is much easier this way. Not having to worry about the company of others from time to time is always something that I have been relieved to enjoy. I need a lot more me-time than people may think. It takes a lot to uphold my standards of living.
Weasley! Why weren't you at practice yesterday? I nearly got crushed by one of the Beaters and you weren't there to yell your fiery head off. Why not? I could have used a laugh or two yesterday, especially since coach was rather uptight. Must've been menopause or something, he's always so grouchy. |
